Website for the Region of Central Macedonia

The Region of Central Macedonia – Tourism Department entrusted Tessera with the new website verymacedonia.gr. Through the website, visitors will find useful information about the regional units of the Region and important points of interest, which are categorized by thematic sections (culture, beaches, sports, cities, etc.). Users have the ability to search for a point of interest by typing its name and to view a complete directory presenting tourist sites in alphabetical order.

The website features a route system that offers the ability to create unlimited routes either at the regional unit level or at the region level. The routes cover a specific area, which is displayed on the map. By selecting the radius of interest around the route, the user can discover everything located within that radius.

News, promotional material, rich photographic and multimedia content, and special events are presented to the website visitor within an environment characterized by user-friendliness and high aesthetic quality. The website has been designed with the primary goal of optimizing the visitor’s experience, while also adhering to the principles of responsive design to ensure proper functionality on mobile phones, tablets, and computers.

The system supports an events calendar, where interested users can get information about scheduled events throughout the Region of Central Macedonia, as well as search for past events based on criteria such as date, event title, etc.

The website features a search engine to help visitors find the information they seek quickly and easily, a site map for easier navigation across pages, links to social media pages, and the ability to download promotional material files.
