The Thessaloniki Tour Guides School acquires a digital presence

October 22, 2025

Tessera designed and developed the first official website of the Thessaloniki Tour Guides School using modern tools, creating a functional, visually appealing, and accessible online platform.

The Thessaloniki Tour Guides School, with a long history and a significant contribution to professional tour guide training in Greece, needed an organized website to showcase itself.

What the new website includes

The website has been designed to optimally present the school’s content and services, in order to meet the current needs of the educational institution.

More specifically, the website includes:

  • Pages presenting the Tour Guides School and its work.
  • Useful information about the School’s staff, including professional titles and contact details.
  • Curriculum details with a comprehensive table of courses and teaching hours.
  • Post on events, workshops, and seminars
  • Extensive photographic material from educational trips.
  • A section with Announcements, News, Press Releases, and information on enrollment applications.
  • Contact forms and a Newsletter subscription for keeping interested parties informed.

Design Approach

  • The website was developed using the WordPress content management system (CMS) in its latest version.
  • The primary design and implementation tool was Breakdance Builder.
  • Functionality on mobile devices and across different browsers was ensured.
  • Necessary checks were carried out to guarantee accessibility for people with disabilities (WCAG 2.x), using the WAVE Web Accessibility Evaluation Tools and AChecker.
