Mobile app DiaBEATes. “DiaBEATes” is a software platform and mobile – web application for type I and type II diabetics, aiming to:
The project received funding from the FIWARE FI-C3 accelerator, within the special program “Cooperation of the 7th Framework program for Research and Development”.
The TAQ project was funded by the accelerator Fractals (Future Internet Enabled Agricultural Applications, FP7 project No. 632874), in the framework of European Commission funding.
TAQ is a quality management – traceability application for agricultural products, which provides information to consumers about the production, processing, transportation and storage of products. The producer enters information about the production process and the supply chain of agricultural products, while a QR code is generated by the application, when the producer has completed filling in all the details and the product is ready to be released to the market.
By scanning with a smartphone or tablet the QR-code, which carries the final product in its packaging, the end user (e.g. consumer) receives information about his production process, the supply chain and consequently learns about the product and acquires trust for that.

Tessera participated in the MO-BIZZ project within the European CIP-ICT-PSP program. This project was implemented in the period 2013 – 2015 and aimed to design a unified technological platform that will allow companies to develop and make available to their customers services that will utilize cloud-based mobile telephony services.
MO-BIZZ will have a service platform for mobile business applications.
The project has two main target groups:
(1) developers and providers, and (2) major industries and enterprise market verticals.
10 European companies, which represent the main players in the mobile cloud market, participated in the project. Portugal Telecom had the role of coordinator of the project, while various technology companies and research institutions from Spain, France, Germany, Romania, Slovenia, Greece and Portugal participated. Tessera was not the only partner from Greece as the ALTEC company had a significant participation in the project.
For this project, Tessera implemented business mobile applications, which operate on the MO-BIZZ platform.

The funded project, entitled: ‘Diabetes: Development of a digital application as a vehicle for disease management’ concerns the creation of a software platform for the management of data related to diabetes. It consists of an online application (web app) and an application for mobile devices (mobile app with Android και iOSoperating systems).
Some of the features of the application are: record and track measurements, automatically import data from third-party applications, glucometers and Bluetooth/NFC devices, add sugar readings by voice command (Amazon Alexa), export/send reports, calculate recommended dose insulin (bolus calculator), the presentation of detailed reports and diagrams etc. All data can be accessed by treating physicians to monitor patient data in real-time (real–time data), look back at history and discern trends, thus providing personalized services of high added value.
The proposal was submitted in collaboration with the company Anats A.E., which operates in the health sector with the main object of import, export, manufacture and distribution of medical, hospital, parapharmaceutical products and medical technology material.

Tessera in collaboration with the company Fibran SA. in the context of the ICT4GROWTH action to support businesses for the implementation of development investment plans – provision of innovative products and value-added services, implemented the project Energy Audit. The project concerned an integrated business plan for the development of a mobile tool for evaluating the energy performance of buildings and capturing proposals for improving their performance. The application Energy Audit comes in two versions:
Our company participated in the research project with the title “Research and development of a system of high energy efficiency structural elements, with the application of criteria of integrated protection of the building shell and life cycle planning” (title: SYNERGY) in the framework of the action “Collaboration 2011 – Partnerships production and research bodies in focused research and technological fields”.
The coordination of the project was undertaken by the Building and Physics laboratory of the Civil Engineering Department of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki. The Metal Structures Laboratory of the Civil Engineering Department of the University of Athens also participated in the project. and the company FIBRAN – Dimitrios Anastasiadis S.A.
Our company, in the context of its participation in this project, developed:
a) Tool for the assessment of the thermal behavior of the structural elements and their combinations for different construction configurations, regarding the construction and thermal protection materials of the structural elements,
b) Tool for estimating the possibility of liquefaction of water vapor in the structural elements and their joints for different construction configurations regarding the construction materials and thermal protection of the structural elements and
c) Application of life cycle analysis databases to quantify the environmental impact of the entire life cycle of a building.
The implementation of the project started in January 2013 and was completed in June 2015.
Tessera had the pleasure and honor to collaborate with the Laboratory of Thermophysical Properties and Environmental Processes of the Department of Chemical Engineering of the Aristotle University of Thessaloniki for the submission of a research project proposal within the framework of the Bilateral Cooperation Greece – China 2012 – 2014, which was implemented by the Operational Program (EP) “Competitiveness & Entrepreneurship” (EPAN II).
The project was approved by GGET and completed in September 2015.
The object of the project was the development of a commercial measuring instrument, which will be used to quickly and accurately measure the thermal conductivity of liquids and solids.
The new instrument was based on the non-steady-state heated wire method, which has not been used commercially to date. The main objective of the project was to transfer all the advantages of the non-permanent heated wire method to a commercial device, which was designed to overcome the existing disadvantages, which until now did not allow its widespread commercial use, and to provide accurate measurements thermal conductivity of materials.
The coordinator of the project was the company Tessera, which also undertook the development of the necessary software for calculating the thermal conductivity value using the finite element method. The Laboratory of Thermophysical Properties & Environmental Processes undertook the production of two new sensors (one for liquids and one for solids) with reduced size and improved sensitivity. The project also involved two Chinese partners, Xi’an Jiaotong University and XIATECH, who jointly developed the necessary portable electronic circuit, which works with a laptop computer.
In 2007, Tessera participated in the research project “Development of software for data mining from heterogeneous sources”. The project was implemented within the framework of the “Creation of Regional Innovation Poles” program of the Hellenic Ministry of Development and was completed in 2009. The development agencies were the University of Macedonia, ATEI Thessaloniki and Tessera Multimedia SA and the final beneficiary was Macedonian Publishing House SA.
The result of the project was an online real estate classifieds management application. The application, in addition to the usual features of registration and data management (advertisements), offers two innovative features:
(a) possibility of entering into the system data coming from diverse sources, that is, from free text coming from the existing Macedonian system after being analyzed through “smart” filters, other databases, and from direct simple or mass input by individual users or subscription customers (brokers), and
(b) possibility of further analysis of the registered (historical) information to discover useful business knowledge. That is, it is an application with Business Intelligence features.
An important function of the system was the construction of a data warehouse (data warehouse) with historical data for further analysis with OLAP (Online Analytical Processing) techniques.
