University of York Europe Campus

On the occasion of the official authorization from the Ministry of Education for the establishment of the  University of York Europe Campus (CITY U.L.E.) in Greece — a non-state, non-profit Legal Entity of Higher Education (N.P.P.E.) under Law 5094/2024— Tessera has undertaken the implementation of the new website: https://city.yorkeuropecampus.eu/. The authorization was announced by the University of York o September 3, 2025.

What the new website includes

The new website of York Europe Campus has been designed to dynamically showcase the institution, providing detailed information about the staff, departments, study programs (BA/MA/MBA/PhD), courses, and postgraduate offerings. The Schools and Departments presented include:

• School of Science (Departments of Computer Science & Psychology),
• School of Business,
• School of Law & Humanities (Departments of Law & Humanities).

At the same time, a Course Finder has been integrated, allowing personalized searches of all programs with filters for study level, location, department, way of teaching, and language, quickly helping prospective students find the most suitable program.

The website also provides practical information on applications (How to apply) and fees, facilitating the pre-enrollment process.

Content & Features

More specifically the website includes:

• Course Finder & program filtering by study level, school/department, location, and more of delivery.
• Comprehensive program pages detailing duration, structure, course, modules, requirements/applications, and accreditations.
• Staff/People pages with biographies, contact information and related fields of expertise.
• Research & collaborations sections, news/announcements, and an events calendar.

Design Approach & technology

• Custom design from scratch, without pre-made templates: each page was designed exclusively for York Europe Campus, so that the website authentically reflects the institution’s identity.
• Special page templates built on structure database: sections such as Programmes, Schools, Departments, Staff and News/Events were implemented as templates fed by  a properly structured database (custom types & fields), ensuring consistency, fast updates and expandability.
• Fully responsive across all devices (mobile, tablet, desktop) with bilingual content (Greek–English), catering to both Greek and international audience.
• Implemented on the latest version of WordPress, with emphasis on SEO/Analytics, performance, security (SSL/HTTPS), interoperability, and accessibility, following best practices for academic websites.
