The educational application of the Natural History Museum of the Petrified Forest of Lesvos is aimed at students and university learners both from Greece and abroad. It is available in three languages and has been designed to attract young people to learn about and understand the importance of various topics related to the formation of the Petrified Forest, the variety of fossilized plants, the methods and purposes of paleontological excavation, the techniques for cleaning and preserving the findings, and more.
The software includes educational activities and games designed with Flash technology, while it is supported by a data base that allows the creation of individual users and the saving of game progress.
