The project, coded OPSKE ΕΚPΑR03-0059004, involves the further development and expansion of the successful forDiabetes application.
Tessera submitted a research proposal to Intervention III of the «Research-Innovate» action under the «Competitiveness» Programme of the NSRF 2021-2027. The proposal, titled «Innovative Digital System for Hypoglycemia Prediction and Diabetes Self-Management Using Artificial Intelligence», has been approved for funding.
The project, coded OPSKE ΕΚPΑR03-0059004, involves the further development and expansion of the successful forDiabetes application. Its implementation will last 30 months and will focus on the self-management of diabetes mellitus, as well as the timely and effective prediction of hypoglycemic episodes.
The platform to be developed will consist of a web application, two mobile applications (Android & iOS), and a REST API that will serve as an intermediary mechanism for synchronizing data between the web and mobile apps.
The development will be based on leveraging machine learning and artificial intelligence technologies, aiming to create a system that primarily adapts to the needs and requirements of patients and physicians.
The application aims to facilitate the daily self-management of the disease, as well as support the work of physicians, by providing modern tools and enhanced functionalities. More specifically, the platform to be designed will offer, among other features:
Through the research project, Tessera aims to provide a prevention and support tool that enhances autonomy and independence, thereby improving the quality of life for thousands of people.
The action falls under Priority 1, «Strengthening Research and Innovation», specifically targeting the Specific Objective «Development and enhancement of research and innovation capacities and the exploitation of advanced technologies (ERDF)». It is implemented by the Special Management Service for Research and Innovation Actions (SMSRIA).
Τhe project “Innovative Digital System for Hypoglycemia Prediction and Diabetes Self-Management Using Artificial Intelligence Technologies” is implemented under the “Research-Innovate” Action and is co-funded by Greece and the European Union (European Regional Development Fund – ERDF) through the NSRF 2021–2027.
