Search project “Cardiofit” – Kick-off meeting

The kick-off meeting was held by the coordinator and executives from the two (2) partners of the research project with the acronym Cardiofit and code ΚΜΡ6-0076626, under the Action “Innovation Investment Plans”, within the framework of the Operational Programme “Central Macedonia 2014-2020” of the NSRF 2014-2020.

The kick-off meeting was held on Monday, October 25, 2021, via the Zoom platform. During the meeting, an overview of the project and its individual work packages was presented, along with the timeline and expected deliverables. All participating parties committed to the proper execution of their respective tasks, aiming for the timely and optimal implementation of the project.

The objective of the research project is the design and implementation of a long-term therapeutic exercise and evaluation program, conducted by exercise and health professionals, focusing on the anatomical and functional adaptations to exercise in patients and athletes with cardiovascular diseases.

Cardiofit aims to develop an innovative tool designed to: a) manage cardiovascular risk factors and prevent their onset in physically active individuals, and b) support physicians in the remote monitoring of patients and the provision of high-quality medical services.

Project start: 7/10/2021 and project end: 7/10/2023 (duration: 24 months).

The partners of the research project are:

  • Tessera Multimedia Company, which operates in the field of information technology and is engaged in the design and development of software
  • The “Sports Medicine Laboratory TEFAA / ELKE AUTH” designs and implements therapeutic exercise programs for patients with cardiovascular and other chronic diseases, with more than 200 patients with cardiovascular conditions participating each year free of charge in the Laboratory’s therapeutic exercise programs.

The business was co-funded by the European Union and National Resources under the action of the “Central Macedonia” programme of the 2021-2027 National Strategic Framework (NSRF), “Investment Schemes for Innovation”.
The project aims to create an innovative platform for monitoring patients and athletes with cardiovascular diseases.

The project budget amounts to €265.060, with a public expenditure of €228.958.
