The educational games can be an alternative fun activity for students. Through these educational games, students can gain knowledge and enrich their understanding across various artistic disciplines, including painting, sculpture, creative arts and art history.
As part of the research ARTECH, Tessera in collaboration with the Teloglion Foundation of Art, developed four educational games, freely available for use. These are:
1. Object-finding game in paintings:

Evaluation of the educational games
The games were assessed in their pilot version by a group of 47 primary education teachers, supervised by the Organizational Coordinator of the 4th PEKES, Mr. Christos Pramas. Valuable conclusions emerged and were incorporated into the final versions. Sample feedback on the games’ potential integration into an Art-themed Project is provided in the image below:
The educational games were developed as part of the research project ‘Digitizing Art and Cultural Heritage for Experiential Learning through Innovative Technologies’ (ARTECH). The project partners are:
- Teloglion Foundation of Art A.U.Th. (Coordinating body),
- Aristotle University of Thessaloniki – Special Account for Research Funds / Department of Mechanical Engineering
- Tessera Multimedia A.E.
The project is implemented within the framework of the special actions ‘Aquaculture’ – ‘Industrial Materials’ – ‘Open Innovation in Culture’ and is co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) of the European Union and national resources through the Operational Programme ‘Competitiveness, Entrepreneurship & Innovation (EPAnEK)’ of the NSRF 2014-2020.
