Event for the presentation of the project ARTECH

The research project Artech

This is a project that brings together art and technology.
Its title is “Digitizing Art and Cultural Heritage for an Immersive Experience through Innovative Technologies” with the acronym: ARTECH.
The presentation of the project took place on April 25th at 6:30 PM, at the Teloglion Foundation.

The schedule of the event:

1.  Greeting by the Vice President of the Board of Directors of the Teloglion Foundation, Professor Mr. Nikos Moussiopoulos.

2.    Speech by a representative of the Teloglion Foundation’s Administrations on topics related to new technologies and their use in the promotion of culture.

3.  Presentation on the Teloglion Foundation and the necessity of showcasing its content using ICT, by Mr. Vasilis Gonos.

4.  Presentation of the project ARTECH and the applications developed with a focus on games, Mr. Vasilis Efopoulos.

5.  Presentation of the environment and the VR application developed within the project, Mr. Manolis Babatsikos.

6.  Presentation of open educational workshops on 3D technologies, Mr. Savvas Koltsakidis.

The project involved the design and development of targeted experiential activities and model applications aimed at showcasing emblematic works from the permanent collection of the Teloglion Foundation of Arts, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki, to the general public as well as to specialized visitor groups, and at enhancing and expanding the educational workshops that the Foundation implements for specific groups.

The partners of the research project are:

  • Teloglion Foundation of Arts, Aristotle University of Thessaloniki (Coordinating body),
  • Aristotle University of Thessaloniki – Special Account for Research Funds / Department of Mechanical Engineering
  • Tessera Multimedia S.A.

The project is implemented within the framework of the special actions ‘Aquaculture’ – ‘Industrial Materials’ – ‘Open Innovation in Culture’ and is co-funded by the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF) of the European Union and national resources through the Operational Programme ‘Competitiveness, Entrepreneurship & Innovation (EPAnEK)’ of the NSRF 2014-2020

The business was co-funded by the European Union and National Resources under the action of the “Central Macedonia” programme of the 2021-2027 National Strategic Framework (NSRF), “Investment Schemes for Innovation”.
The project aims to create an innovative platform for monitoring patients and athletes with cardiovascular diseases.

The project budget amounts to €265.060, with a public expenditure of €228.958.
